Foster
Foster homes are the life-blood of our rescue. Without foster homes, we cannot save these wonderful dogs. Foster families open their homes and their hearts to abandoned, abused and or neglected dogs while they are awaiting their furever homes. While fostering is sometimes difficult, it is very rewarding to see unwanted dogs transform into healthy, loving family members. Foster families are responsible for caring for the dogs, socializing them, offering them basic training, and helping integrate them into family life.

Thank you so much for your interest in joining us to help save unwanted German Shepherds and German Shepherd mixes! Without volunteers, we would not be able to save these amazing dogs. Our primary need is foster homes but we also have opportunities for transporters and application processors, among other roles. If you love German Shepherds, have a skill set that you think would benefit Freedom German Shepherd Rescue, are organized, willing to share your talents and/or willing to learn, please complete the volunteer application below.
